Gavin is a graduate chemical engineer with 27 years’ experience in R&D, process engineering, manufacturing systems and information technology. He has held several executive roles including CEO, CIO and Director of Product Strategy. He founded a software company with global clients in mining and manufacturing, which later merged to form Adapt IT, a solutions provider for mining, manufacturing, education and financial services.
About Gavin
Gavin is a graduate chemical engineer with 27 years’ experience in R&D, process engineering, manufacturing systems and information technology. He has extensive experience in an operating business in the application of information technology in process manufacturing, mining and energy environments. For several years he was the CIO for AECI Ltd, a diverse chemicals Group with 6000 employees. He founded a software business focused on enterprise software, and held various executive and director roles in this regard. He was also the director of product strategy for a fast growing publicly listed technology company with clients in 17 countries.
Gavin is a member of the South African Institute of Directors and writes regular articles on IT in manufacturing published in South African Instrumentation and Control.
